Nearpod: Promote Student Learning and Engagement with Interactive, Multimedia Lessons

Have you ever dreamed of broadcasting your lesson to each student individually instead of just a single display on your whiteboard? That dream can now become a reality! If you are in a 1:1 setting (if not all day, at least for part of the day in lab or with a COW), you will want to try Nearpod. This free resource gives you a platform on which to create your own interactive, multimedia lessons or customize existing presentations. You control the lesson in real-time from your device or assign the activity as a self-paced module for homework. Nearpod seamlessly integrates technology into your classroom, and this incredible tool is multi-platform (any device will work—iOS, Android, Windows, Chromebooks)! In this session, you will participate in a sample Nearpod lesson and learn the basics of constructing your own multimedia presentation.
